We live in the world of "half-way" and "I'll do it later". Often we try to put things off till the last minute, and when we finally get around to them we give less than our full effort. Please, please, do NOT be a half-way Christian or put off accepting Christ till it is "convenient" for you. I struggle with this too. We are so selfish and don't want to give God our best.
~Revelation 3:15-16
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either one or the other. So, because you are lukewarm -neither cold nor hot- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
He would rather us be cold than lukewarm? Why? Because being lukewarm takes nothing. You just coast along in life doing the easy things, but you waiver in times of trial.
~Isaiah 7:9b
If you do not stand firm in your faith you will not stand at all.
~Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone that comes to Him must believe that He exists and He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Without faith you can do nothing. Those that believe in something false strongly enough to turn from God are in some ways closer to Him than those who are lukewarm, because they have faith. Stand strong in your faith and live like it!
