Pure and blameless

Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Psalm 24:3-6

To get to heaven, we have to have a pure heart; sinless, clean, and without blemish. But you all know that we don't have a pure heart! Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Jesus died on the cross and carried our burdens, our sins and gave us a clean heart to replace all the trash. We have received vindication from God! You only have to do one thing: accept the gift. I see so many people that refuse that amazing opportunity to have a pure heart. We have have a job to do. Like the video Becky posted yesterday said, along with you faith you have to have works. Our job right now is to be a witness to people. "Such is the generation of those who seek Him." I want to be apart of a generation that is changed, that is different. Our opportunity to learn and grow in our faith is now.

But eagerly desire the greater gifts. I Corinthians 12:31

Eagerly desire what God has for you. He wants so badly for us to live for Him, and to make a difference. Don't shy away from that call.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Our lives should be a reflection of God. People should see Jesus in you! Let everything you do, whether it is making dinner, or watching TV, let it all be for God's glory.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. -Psalm 51:10

Make that your prayer today. Ask God to create in you a pure and blameless heart.
