I fight like a boxer who is hitting something- not just the air.

If you are like me, boxers intrigue you. You wonder WHY someone would do that for a living.

Maybe they like hitting things and feeling powerful. Sometimes that is how we feel too- like hitting things. Did you know that Paul encourages us to fight like a boxer throughout life?

God wants us to make a difference, push through, to fight. He wants us to fight for saving souls. He wants us to fight for changing lives.

Paul was a fighter, he fought so hard so he could reach the finish line.

1 Corinthians 9:24-26 (New International Version)

24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.

As you go through today, fight like Paul. Be a fighter.
Change one person at a time.

Your sister in Christ,

Yes, boxers do amuse me - I just don't get the point!!! I've never thought about this verse in terms of boxing before. Thanks for the challenge Madison! =D
