It's about that time of year when everything starts to come back to life. The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, the weather is warming up. I love spring! (: It's like God's personal reminder to me that I can start my year again fresh.
This weekend we will be celebrating the death and resurrection of our Savior. I think that it is a very sad, but happy time as believers. We are sad because we know that Jesus died a horrible death on the cross, and we are happy because we have new life when He was raised from the dead!
A lot of us have heard the "Easter story" so many times that it kind of becomes dull to us. Some will let this weekend pass by without actually acknowledging everything Jesus has done for us! But I encourage you girls not to let the opportunity pass up for you to reflect on what Jesus did, and be spurred on toward sharing this awesome news with lost people around you. Although most of us have been saved, the story of Jesus' death and resurrection should not be overlooked by us! Take this weekend to meditate on what price was paid for your sin, and the great joy that comes with Jesus being raised from the dead. Start fresh this weekend knowing that you have been saved from your sins and you will spend eternity with the one who paid the price so you could have a place in heaven!
