There are many expectations heaped on young women today. The world is telling you (pressuring you) to go to college and get a good job, to be strong and stand up for yourself. The world has plans for you, but so does God.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.-Jeremiah 29:11
Personally, to know that God has plans for me is very comforting, but...I still have to fulfill those plans, don't I?
The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.-Psalm 138:8a
The Lord has great plans for every one of you, plans that He will fulfill if you'll only surrender to Him. Like the rich young man (Matthew 19:16-26) found out, it is daunting to give up everything for Christ. It is hard, too, especially while living in a world ruled by sin. The temptation will always be there to forfeit God's amazing plans and choose the world's. Burdens, stress, and worry get heavy after awhile! Run daily to the cross of Jesus. Fall at His feet in worship, lay down your burdens, pick up His plans for you, and cling to His cross. One day you will see Him in Heaven and KNOW, it was so worth it.
