Like dew...

Deuteronomy 32:2 (New International Version)

2 Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.

Like rain- refreshing and sweet, is God's word in our life. After we have been spending time in the Word, we feel good. We feel empowered, invigorated; ready to take on the world. Dew usually descends on the grass every morning. Every morning we should abide with the Lord and be awakened and renewed by Him. Like showers on new grass, and abundant rain on tender plants, is time with our Lord and Redeemer. He is our living water that quenches every thirst we could ever have. Like dew is to the grass, God's word is to our soul.

Your Sister in Christ,
Jessica

What a good reminder! I know that it isn't a must to read my Bible in the morning, but I feel so much better when I do. It prepares me for whatever happens during the day. I love that verse!
