Humility

There is a universal key that "fits the lock" of all relationships. It works for believers and non-believers, boys and girls, friends and enemies, brothers and sisters, democrats and republicans. What is this key? Humility.
Seriously! Humility could save so many relationships. When one is willing to serve and put herself below others, it can solve so many problems. How exactly do you put it into play? Think of the person that you look up to the most. Are you always ready to serve them? To do jobs of theirs that you wouldn't normally do? That's how you should act out of humility. One of the biggest areas that comes to mind is with siblings. That is the hardest place to have humility; especially when you have brothers or sisters younger than you! It is awfully hard to serve those younger than you when you think you should "be in charge". Try looking at your siblings in a different light. Think of them as your favorite people. Act like you admire them... and eventually you will! Besides being able to heal virtually any wound, humility is important to the Lord.

♥God hears the prayers of those who humble themselves before Him.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

♥The Lord guides the humble.
Psalm 25:9
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.

♥God gives grace to the humble.
Proverbs 3:34
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

♥God lifts up the humble.
James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Finally, humility brings salvation and greatness in Heaven.
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven, Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me..."
Matthew 18:1-5

Humility is very important to the Lord. Study Jesus' life, he was the most humble person to ever walk the face of the earth. Live out humility and I promise you will experience real change in your life!

Your servant in Christ,
Becky :)
